Minister of Music

Kent Maberry

Kent and Lori Maberry joined Southside in 2006 when Kent was called as music minister.  Kent is also employed by the United States Postal Service and Lori is a teacher for Jefferson City Public Schools.  Kent has a BA in church music with a minor in communications from the College of the Ozarks, and additional graduate hours in communications from the University of Missouri.   In 1976, as a sophomore in college, he accepted his first church music position and has been involved in music and other ministries full or part-time since then.   He has also been a radio producer/broadcaster.

Kent and Lori have two sons, Seth and Oren.  Seth is employed by State Farm in Columbia, Mo. and serves as choir director for Hartsburg Baptist Church.  Oren is a student at College of the Ozarks, near Branson, Mo.  They enjoy camping, hiking, traveling, especially out west, touring historical sites and museums.  Above all, they are committed to serving the Lord as a family.  They enjoy making music, singing His praises and leading others to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ through song.  “Shout joyfully to the Lord all the earth, serve the Lord with gladness, come before Him with joyful singing.”  Psalm 100: 1, 2.
